Original jae Clutch handle: perfectly imperfect

We have a few OG jae Clutch handles that are perfectly imperfect. We hate to see them trapped in a box forever, so we're offering them at a very low price.* These handles might have small surface scratches, which we think adds to their beautiful patina. Others might be a lot lighter in tone than the walnut handles we typically sell, but that's part of the wood's natural color variations. See photos for detail and select your option: 1, 2 or 3! 

The handle works with all of our liners and slipcovers to create a complete bag. Attach a strap to the d-rings inside the handle to convert it to a shoulder or crossbody bag. (Liners, slipcovers and straps not included.) 

Handles feature solid brass hardware in a natural finish that develops a beautiful patina over time. The buttons are reminiscent of upholstery nailheads, brass hinges feature ball finials, and the handle is attached to the wood base with durable, brass rivets. Magnets inside the handle help keep the handle securely closed. Clip a shoulder or crossbody strap onto the d-rings inside the handle. The handbag handle comes with a cotton dustcover for storage. (Liners, slipcovers and strap not included.) 

The jae walnut handle measures 11 5/16" wide x 1" deep x 2 1/8" high;  handle opening 4 3/4". 

We recommend that you tighten the brass button/screws and hinges periodically as you might do with cabinet hardware. Even though the solid, natural walnut used in our handle is covered with a Danish oil finish, it’s living, breathing material that responds to the environment around it. Wood can expand and contract with changes in humidity, and change color over time with exposure to air and sunlight. This results in very natural, beautiful changes over time. We recommend storing our handles in the dustcover out of direct sunlight in order to maintain original quality and hues.
