Ahoy! Shortie Handbag Bundle (handle + liner + slipcover)
Our jae Bag Ahoy! Bundle features our jae Bag walnut* handle with our reversible Ahoy! Slipcover buttoned over the Shortie Liner.
This handbag is a modern take on the beloved Bermuda bag… a bag that loves to get dressed. It features Ahoy! – a collaboration with New England artist Lisa Rogers and features Lisa's painting of a ship on one side and a whale's tail on the other side. The art is printed on a lightweight cotton twill. Ahoy is reversible, too! Simply turn Ahoy inside out and you have a classic blue and white ticking stripe from Pindler.
All our handles feature solid brass buttons reminiscent of upholstery nailheads. The handle liner features a white performance fabric on the outer side and our signature Dottie fabric in a lightweight cotton twill on the inside. Our handles work with any of our slipcovers which easily button on and off for versatility. See our website for more slipcover and handle options.
The jae Bag Shortie measures 10" long x 14 1/4" wide (handle: 11 5/16" wide x 1" deep x 6 1/2" high; handle opening 4 3/4"). Ship/whale fabric: lightweight, 100% cotton twill; ticking stripe fabric: 100% cotton. Clean fabric using a solution of mild soap and water. Line dry fabric. Do not put in dryer. Shortie Liner: 100% t-spun polyester; inner lining: 100% cotton twill. To clean fabric, unscrew from wooden handle and hand wash using a solution of mild soap and water. Line dry fabric. Do not dry clean.
Strap not included.
We recommend that you tighten the brass button/screws and hinges periodically as you might do with cabinet hardware. *Even though the solid, natural wood used in our products is fashioned into handles and covered with a matte lacquer finish, it’s living, breathing material that responds to the environment around it. Wood can expand and contract with changes in humidity and change color over time with exposure to air and sunlight. This results in very natural, beautiful changes over time. We recommend storing our handbags out of direct sunlight in order for both the woods and fabrics to maintain original quality and hues.
About Lisa (@lisarogersstudio):
Lisa is a self-trained artist and has been selling her work since 2013. Her love of coastal things started while growing up in Maine and spending summers enjoying what the state’s many harbor towns had to offer. Lisa is fascinated with history and merges that with New England’s coastal and island past in her work: her art features splendid whales, a myriad of sailing vessels and the ocean. Living in Maine and New Hampshire has afforded her much inspiration, including hydrangea blooms, fresh berry picking, lobster, whoopie pies, oysters and moose. She hopes to convey and share the beautiful scenery, people and objects that surround her every day.
