Your purchase includes:
• One hand-painted Blue Hydrangea Shortie (unstitched) needlepoint canvas by love mhb studio (13 mesh. Approx. design size 16.0" x 8.5”) + shipping.
• The finishing cost of a bespoke jae Shortie Slipcover using your own fabric + finished slipcover shipping.
• Handles, liners, threads, and finishing fabrics not included. (See our Handbag Handles tab on our website menu for handles and liners.)
How It Works:
Once you purchase this jae x love mhb studio Blue Hydrangea Shortie Slipcover, we will ship you the hand-painted needlepoint canvas.
Choose threads from your favorite local needlepoint store and stitch it up! We recommend stitching on stretcher bars as blocking is not included in the finishing process. If you’re comfortable with blocking, stitch in-hand/scoop away!
Once you’ve completed your stitched canvas it’s time to choose fabrics for the reversible slipcover:
• Send jae* at least 1/4 yard of fabric for the side opposite of the needlepoint: we recommend a cotton twill for this side.
• You'll also send a 1/2 yard of fabric for the reverse side of the slipcover (when you turn the side with the needlepoint inside out). We recommend a lighter-weight cotton twill or a heavyweight linen/cotton blend fabric for the reverse side.
• The Shortie Slipcover measures 14 1/4 inches wide and 7 1/2 inches high.
• Fabric must be continuous yardage, not multiple pieces of fabric. We cannot use leather, vinyl, or quilted fabric.
**Please complete stitching and ship the canvas with your fabric choices to jae within six months. Once we receive your completed canvas and fabrics, allow 4-6 weeks for slipcover finishing.**
When we receive your fabric, we’ll send you an image and consult with you on how your fabrics will be positioned within the slipcover pattern to maximize the fabric's motif(s). Remember that if a fabric's repeat (the amount of space between where a design motif or pattern begins and ends) is larger than the dimensions of the Shortie Slipcover, you won't be able to see the complete motif on the slipcover.
Other important details:
• Please do not send fabric without the finished stitched canvas for this project.
• All canvas sales are final. This is a custom slipcover: it’s non-returnable and non-cancellable.
• Allow 4-6 weeks from when you approve the positioning of the fabric to when we send the completed slipcover to you.
• This and all other jae slipcovers are designed for jae Bag handles. Our slipcovers do not work with vintage Bermuda bag handles.
